Visitors to the new Perot Museum will appreciate amenities designed for ticket holders as well as passers by. These include:

  • A landscape design with three water features and seating on the plazas, plus a large shady grove of Native Texas trees
  • A state-of-the-art 3D digital theater, which will present a wide array of films as well as serve as a venue to host speakers and discussions
  • An interior café and outdoor dining spaces on the plaza serving tasty and healthy fare for visitors and the downtown business lunch crowd
  • A unique Museum Store with items ranging from birthday presents to niche products related to science and nature
  • A roof terrace where visitors can have an up-close experience of the Perot Museum’s sustainable roof feature and enjoy the stunning Dallas skyline

Museum Store

The Perot Museum will house an elegant 2,400 square foot retail store. Accessibly located in the middle of the public space of the entrance promenade, the Store will be both a destination shopping experience for those desiring a quick gift, as well as a place where visitors can gather mementos of their visit on their way in or out of the Museum. The contemporary design will include a spectacular glass storefront and integrate seamlessly with the Museum's modern architecture. It includes fixtures and brilliant wall systems that will showcase unique products from all over the world, including local artisans. The Museum Store merchandise will focus on "extending the experience" and meeting the needs of the youngest child to most discerning shopper - all demographics and tastes will be serviced at the newest and best shopping experience in Dallas.


Museum Café

The Museum Café will offer delicious and nutritious meals and snacks highlighting local ingredients. Must haves on the menu include the Market Salads station as well as the Garden Vegetable Pizza featuring Garden Herb Pesto grown at the Museum itself! Guests can also enjoy individual pizzas and pasta, handcrafted sandwiches, satisfying soups and, of course, freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs and fries are available at the Grill. Also available will be a selection of items for the little science lovers (AKA; children's menu) as well as a Grab & Go section featuring salads & sandwiches, sushi and desserts. The Café will be operated by Restaurant Associates.



Museum Theater

The elegant 300-seat theater will have one of the most sophisticated digital projection and sound systems available. Capable of projecting both 3D as well as 2D films, the theater will feature a wide variety of films from cutting edge documentaries to experimental independent films. The system will allow quick film changes with the crystal clear images and striking colors of state-of-the-art 4K digital projection. A typical film schedule will include exciting shorter science topics in the morning, appropriate for school groups, a wider range of longer documentaries in the afternoons and independent fare in the evenings. Dark, subdued colors, stadium seating and comfortable seats with cupholders add to the intimate ambiance. Tickets will be available in advance online, via kiosks outside of the theater, or at the general ticketing box office for the Museum. Museum members will receive significant discounts as well as free screenings from time to time.
