Museum Theater The elegant 300-seat theater will have one of the most sophisticated digital projection and sound systems available. Capable of projecting both 3D as well as 2D films, the theater will feature a wide variety of films from cutting edge documentaries to experimental independent films. The system will allow quick film changes with the crystal clear images and striking colors of state-of-the-art 4K digital projection. A typical film schedule will include exciting shorter science topics in the morning, appropriate for school groups, a wider range of longer documentaries in the afternoons and independent fare in the evenings. Dark, subdued colors, stadium seating and comfortable seats with cupholders add to the intimate ambiance. Tickets will be available in advance online, via kiosks outside of the theater, or at the general ticketing box office for the Museum. Museum members will receive significant discounts as well as free screenings from time to time. |
